About Adam
Adam Kallish has dedicated his career to brand design with underpinnings in business consulting and collaborative deployment of innovation teams for large corporations. He received his BA in Visual Communications from University of Illinois at Chicago; MFA in Graphic Design from Rhode Island School of Design; and a Fulbright to India.
His design career has spanned traditional graphic design, brand strategy, and presently with organizational design. His career has been one of an interloper of ideas & change having been Design Director at Andersen Worldwide, and Associate Partner at USWebCKS (marchFIRST) where he integrated business processes, research, and technology with design. He held the position Director of Innovation (Midwest Region) for ZEFER Corporation until 2000.
His professional positions had been marked by integration of multi-disciplinary teams and program management, linking vision (desire) to requirements (specifications) to results (benefits). He currently is Delivery Director at Tanagram Partners in Chicago focusing on designing human computer interactions with products you use at home, at the office, or mobile. This includes web and software applications ranging from interfaces for a single interaction to complex product ecologies.
He has lectured at Indian Institute of Management (Calcutta), National Institute of Design (Ahmedabad), Swire Polytechnic (Hong Kong), has attended over 40 conferences, and has been published in the Design Management Journal, inForm (AIGA), and Design Issues. He has held teaching positions at University of Illinois at Chicago, National Institute of Design, School of the Art Institute of Chicago and Northern Illinois University. He is currently an instructor in the Department of Architecture, Interior Architecture + Designed Objects Program at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
