Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required. 0-2+ years related work experience desired. Background in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Graphic Design preferred.
  • Exceptional customer service skills to serve internal employees at all levels and external contacts.
  • Excellent IT skills including HTML/CSS, web page creation and experience with SharePoint. Experience working within pre-existing web forms, pre-designed templates, and layout principles for web.
  • Familiar with social media tools such as Facebook, Twitter, etc.
  • Experience with website authoring software, HTML, etc.
  • Excellent verbal, writing, proofreading and project management skills.
  • Able to establish solid relationships with interactive communication team.
  • Intuitive, motivated, high-energy and “Self-starter”.
  • Eager to take additional tasks.

Position Responsibilities

Design, organize, manage the navigation; develop and perform maintenance for the company websites. Resolve website user questions. Use expert communication skills to provide superb customer service for members and policyholders. Provide hands-on content management using well-honed HTML and programming skills. Incorporate an intuitive sense of design. Recommend ongoing improvements to websites and follow through on recommendations. Assist with production/integration of social media and interactive technologies within web sites.

Responsibilities: 40% Website Maintenance and Design, 40% Content Development and Customer Service, 20% Reporting

Use project management and organizational skills to update pages in timely manner.. Use solid grammar, writing and proofreading skills to ensure accurate and consistent online content. Ensure intuitive navigation and functionality of all web page and policyholder resource pages. Candidate will review, maintain and upgrade information on website; also provide highest level of customer service for members and policyholders.

Content Development- 40%

  • Utilize CMS to create, update, and maintain webpages.
  • Assist with integration of social media and interactive technologies within the websites.
  • Resolve requests for online support via phone calls and emails.
  • Serve as a resource to members, policyholders and staff.
  • Record and edit video to develop online library of approved videos to use on websites.

Website Maintenance – 40%

  • Oversee overall website maintenance daily to ensure accuracy, timeliness and relevance.
  • Support Communication team: posting new content and update existing content as requested.
  • Collaborate with graphic designers and provide direction for website’s graphics and images as well as design concepts and ideas within CMS.
  • Ongoing review of web pages.
  • Assure marketing and communication objectives are achieved.
  • Ensure intuitive navigation and functionality of all web pages.
  • Maintain knowledge of website technology, best practices and design trends.
  • Monitor sites for broken links, outdated information, typos, etc.

Reporting – 20%

  • Maintain knowledge of website technology and design trends; recommend upgrades as needed.
  • Prepare monthly user reports; provide summary from collected data.
  • Additional responsibilities may include sending blast fax and emails, photography, videography, phone coverage, etc.
