Event Description

"Agile" can mean different things at different companies, as befits an approach to development that respects people over processes and tools.

Companies are adopting agile and agile-like processes, and are integrating more and more of their product management into those processes. Interaction designers are having to adapt their own practices and tools to this new reality. And while agile development practices are generally forgiving about starting development without full and complete detail of all inputs and knowledge, often UX practices try to learn of and plan with as much detail as possible before development begins. These contrasting approaches can cause friction and confusion.

  • What are the different ways that user experience practices have adapted to agile development?
  • What benefits does an agile development process bring to a user experience practice?
  • What user experience tools, techniques and principles bring value to the agile development process?
  • What are the pitfalls and dangers to guard against when integrating user experience into an agile environment?

Join us for a panel discussion with UX practitioners working in a variety of agile approaches who will talk about their experiences with UX and Agile.
