DESCRIPTION:Join IxDA on June 20th as we spend the first half of our e
 vent learning about mentorship in the user experience design community
 . Dave Hoover (@redsquirrel) from Groupon and lead mentor at Code Ac
 ademy, followed by Kelly Stickel (@kstickel) from Acquity Group and fo
 under of Remodista, May BaMaung from Critical Mass, Mark Baldino fro
 m Fuzzy Math and Judi Wunderlich (@JudiWunderlich) from Wunderland,
  will share their experiences, insights and advice as mentors/mentees.
 \nSpeakers will share:\n\nwhy mentors are important\nhow to find a goo
 d mentor/mentee\nhow to facilitate your relationship\ndiscuss experien
 ce as mentor/mentee\n\n \nToward the end of the evening, attendees wi
 ll have a chance to pair as mentors and mentees in a speed-mentoring f
 ashion. Each pair will have about 10 minutes to chat and then we will 
 ask the group to rotate, giving every member about 5 pairings. \n \n
 What is speed-mentoring?\nBuilding off of the typical concept of speed
 -dating, speed-mentoring allows students and design professionals to m
 eet each other for a short-time to see if they can support each otherâ
 €™s needs around timing, guidance, and other logistics which may effec
 t a good mentorship experience. We will collect feedback after the qui
 ck speed meeting sessions on the event night so that interested mentor
 s and mentees can follow-up with one another. \n \nPlease RSVP by id
 entifying yourself as a mentor, mentee or observer.\nWhat is a mentor?
 \nA mentor is a coach, guide, tutor, facilitator, counselor and trus
 ted advisor. A mentor is someone willing to spend his or her time and 
 expertise to guide the development of another person.\nWhat is a mente
 e?\nA mentee is a student, protege, apprentice and eager learner. A me
 ntee is someone who wants to learn from someone who knows and seeks th
 eir valuable advice in order to grow personally and/or professionally.
 \nWhat is an observer?\nAn observer is someone who has decided if ment
 orship is something they are interested in. An observer does not neces
 sarily fit into either category of a mentor or mentee, but is willing
